James Muigai Kamau

James Muigai Kamau, a Civil engineer by training, is an accomplished, solutions focused Supply Chain Management Professional with over 20 years’ experience in  FMCG, FSI, telecoms and Oil & Gas multinational organizations in Africa including in  emerging high growth markets (Kenya & Nigeria) and an impressive record of  achievements.  

He is currently the Director, Administration at Equity Group Holdings PLC  (Responsible for Group Supply Chain Management, Facilities & Administration),  having joined Equity Group in 2017 from Telkom Kenya, after a stint at Helios Towers  Tanzania from 2014. Muigai was previously at East African Breweries, a Diageo  Subsidiary and East Africa’s leading branded alcohol beverage business, where he  worked in a variety of senior roles since 2012. Prior to that, James was the Director,  Supply Chain Management at Airtel Nigeria (part of Bharti Airtel International B.V.)  responsible for cost and process efficiency and supply chain strategy implementation.  James has had senior roles at Zain Group, Celtel Kenya Limited and Mobil Oil Kenya  Ltd., having extensive experience in procurement and logistics.  

He is also a holder of an Executive MBA from Strathmore Business School, an Affiliate  Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) and an  Associate Member of the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM)
