Vaccine TaskForce - HMG Dept of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy

In eight months the Vaccine Task Force identified, bought and deployed the first vaccines in the world. Three fifths of the UK adult population have had a vaccine and the UK has the second highest vaccination rate of any country. In addition to successfully tackling what was widely believed to be an unachievable ask within unachievable timescales, the adversities overcome include worldwide material shortages. This rainbow approach of Industry, Government and Academics’ achievements have saved more than 10,000 lives in the UK, helped the economy to reopen and allowed the reuniting of family and friends to become a reality.
