UPL Procurement Sustainability project

Within period of last 18 months, UPL procurement team covered 80% of its supplies (by value) under sustainability program. Substantial scale up of program, enabled through e-procurement tool, helped to garner completion of Sustainability evaluation of 70% of global supplies (by value). 30% of supplies were classified as “Sustainable-at-par with Industry”. Another 30% of spend (~85 Supplier sites) was covered through on-site validation audits. Audits were conducted through internal/external experts. On-site audits generated ~1000+ audit findings through various geographies. UPL-led guidance enabled the suppliers for taking improvement actions on 40% audit findings so-far.
