We transformed the buying experience at AstraZeneca through the implementation of Coupa, leveraging KPMG’s Powered Procurement approach. This delivered significant impact for colleagues such as scientists and researchers, by freeing-up time for them to focus on more strategic and value-add activities. User experience scores nearly doubled as an outcome and cycle times for the requisition to purchase order process halved, while invoice approval times reduced from 16 days to 4.5 days. We also migrated thousands of suppliers to the Coupa supplier portal, meaning 85% of procure-to-pay transactions are now fully digital compared to 47.5% previously.
