Before COVID, supply chain’s health was measured by its agility. However, post-COVID, supply chain’s health is measured by its resiliency to changing market conditions along with being agile. Resiliency is defined as the ability to sense risks, understanding of the component and suppliers’ sub-suppliers’ landscape. It helped track and assess the impacts of COVID disruptions on the Shell’s supply chain, while building strong supplier trust which resulted in exploration of innovative alternate value drivers to hard core price reductions.
