North London Heat and Power Project
Arup
The North London Heat and Power Project (NLHPP) is a ten-year programme to build an Energy Recovery Facility, replacing the existing plant at Edmonton Eco-Park, London. The new facility will be the most efficient in the UK and be built using advanced technology, generating 70 megawatts of electricity to power 127,000 homes and providing heat for local homes and businesses.
Since 2019, Arup have provided strategic procurement consultancy to North London Waste Authority (NLWA) leading to several key lessons being embedded into NLWA’s organisation for future procurement activity, involving best practice procurement, risk management, stakeholder engagement and collaborative behaviour practices.
