Deployment of a cloud-based Guided Buying platform to improve colleague & supplier experience

As part of LBGs approach to customer and colleague journeys, the ability for colleagues to buy goods and services to do their job was identified as an initiative that would deliver an enhanced experience. Together with the need to replace legacy systems, this programme was born. This involved 102,000 colleagues, 6,000 suppliers and around 60 catalogues, which made it one of the largest single-day launches of SAP Ariba in recent years.

Whilst a major project in its own right, starting this pre COVID-19 then needing to transition to a remote working, created the need for additional innovation and collaboration.
