Following a difficult 2 years, Kier Group’s procurement team was in a difficult place. The team was firefighting through each day, working with old and no longer viable processes, systems and governance. They’d lost the trust of key stakeholders internally and throughout the supply chain.

Following the appointment of a new Group Procurement Director to lead the team in March 2020, Jamie McKechnie focused on people and collaboration. Rallying the team by leveraging their strengths and providing clear direction, the team are now a procurement function that exceeded all expectations-and all whilst navigating this new VUCA world we are in!
