In 2019, Jewson, one of the UK’s leading Builder’s Merchants and part of the Saint-Gobain Group, engaged in a company-wide “Transform & Grow” programme redefining its purpose, values and strategy, enhancing customer experience, digitalising offerings and delivering ambitious savings. The Procurement 2020 Programme was a critical part of this. A dynamic approach using a vast data range, newly digitalised procurement processes and an empowered team, was adopted with the business and suppliers. Procurement successfully delivered a step change in P&L performance and customer benefits in a challenging environment, which has created a platform for sustained growth.
