Implementing Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) across the Technology Sourcing Programme

Having established a best practice approach to managing its strategic suppliers, the HMRC Supplier Relationship Management Team faced the challenge of implementing Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) through the disaggregation of its IT services. Within 10 months, it embedded it’s Best in Class SRM approach with its 3 legacy supplier relationships and 11 newly identified supplier relationships within the portfolio.

Through strong leadership, robust project management and a flexible approach to SRM methodology, the team delivered a hugely successful transition, keeping the stakeholder at the heart of everything they did, making time to share learnings with Government colleagues along the way.
