Driving a sustainable supply chain

Tackling the climate crisis goes hand in hand with Lloyds Banking Group’s (LBG) purpose of Helping Britain Prosper. This includes taking accountability for the emissions generated through our supply chain.

In 2022 we delivered a programme at pace that: •Quantified our scope 3 supply chain emissions. •Enabled a public commitment to net zero with interim targets aligned to science. •Launched a new supplier ‘Emerald Standard’ rooted in best practice and simple to measure. •Proactively engaged and assessed our top suppliers against the Emerald Standard, enabling supplier progress to be tracked. •Introduced interventions into our sourcing process to drive sustainable procurement.
