AI Enhanced Vehicle Safety Inspections

In partnership with Shell Oman, Shell’s Digital GameChanger Lab was tasked with identifying innovative solutions designed to enhance safety protocols for our contractor’s vehicles. Since early 2022 hundreds of HSE audits took place, with the purposes of receiving insights into the performance of contractors and their approach to vehicle safety. To drive process improvement, Shell Oman and the Digital Gamechanger Lab investigated how to develop a digital solution for HSE auditing using our agile solution methodology. This resulted in the trialing and successful scale up of a machine vision and reporting tool, designed to complement the inspection brief of assessors.
